What happens during your consultation?
1. We discuss your goals
Tell me what concerns you, what you would like to explore and what you hope to achieve. We will discuss your expectations and any previous experiences with aesthetic treatments.
2. We review relevant information
Your medical history, relevant medicines, allergies, previous procedures and other factors affecting suitability will be considered. An examination or further clinical assessment may be needed, depending on the treatment.
3. We discuss appropriate options
If treatment is suitable, I will explain the relevant options, potential benefits, limitations, risks, expected recovery and costs. I will also explain if a treatment is not suitable or if an alternative approach would be more appropriate.
4. You decide what is right for you
You will have time to consider the information and ask questions. You are not obliged to proceed simply because you have attended a consultation. Where required, treatment will only be considered after all relevant assessment, prescribing, consent and safety requirements have been met.
What should I bring?
Please be prepared to provide accurate information about:
- Your medical history and any relevant health conditions.
- Medicines, supplements and allergies.
- Previous aesthetic treatments and any complications.
- Your goals and concerns.
- Any relevant information requested when booking.
Please do not stop prescribed medicines in preparation for a treatment unless the professional responsible for your care has specifically advised you to do so.
Start with a conversation and make an informed decision at your own pace.
